I just finished crocheting these slippers for Teen Miss. They're so adorable! I almost kept them for myself! I have to make myself a pair, for sure! The pattern is called Lizzie and you can find it on ravelry.com.

Angels Of Yarn

I have a friend who lost her daughter earlier this year. So, I crocheted her this angel that looks like her litle girl.


Teen Miss and I got our nails done. She paid! I'm a lucky Mom. We really love how these people did our nails. That never happens. We're nail snobs, lol.

We're friends with a couple who have chickens. Saturday they had and Oktoberfest party and I finally remembered that for (I think) almost a year of going to parties there, we never met the chickens. Little Miss got to watch them eat today and ran back and forth to the coop fifty bagillion times to coo with them. She loved it. Now when we asked what a chicken says, she doesn't cluck, she softly says, "Oooh." It's adorable.

Here's my kitchen boxes for compost. Not very pretty, but they'll get the job done. It starts now. =D

I drilled holes in one of my yarn tubs for a compost bin. I can't wait to get started! That's 35 gallons of composting power, baby! Isn't it beautiful?

Little Miss is trying to share her cookies with the baby tomatoes. She loves to touch them and tell them 'hi' and 'night-night'. The "baby tatoes" are her friends.

My mom gave Mo a play tent. She's watching Yo Gabba Gabba and eating a pumpkin muffin that I made and she's nice and happy.

Bought some vegetable seeds today. Made a little seed box for the kitchen counter from half a waffle box turned inside out. I'll either wait to plant them until next year or I'll try my hand at an indoor garden for the winter.

Morgana asked me to draw sissy on her MagnaDoodle... Then daddy, then mama. I drew Morgana because the family wouldn't be complete without her.

Today, I'm making apple cinnamon detox water, found on Pinterest.

My tomato plant has two more tiny fruit buds for a total of four fruit buds! Little Miss loves the tomato plant. I showed her the fruit buds and told her they were baby tomatoes. She now constantly points to the plant, giggles and says, "Baby tatoe. It tickos (tickles)."

Brought my tomato plant indoors yesterday evening. Here's to hoping it gives tomatoes during the winter and that it lives!

Much better reaction after she went back to sleep for a longer nap (she had woken up too soon before) and approaching it on her own.

Little Miss didn't care about the bookshelves at first. She just woke up from nap and started crying when we told her to go in her room to see something. She wanted to run around the house instead.

The rain gutter bookshelves happened for Little Miss today. What a surprise she'll wake up to after nap!  Stu did most of the work.

Little Miss doesn't want to color at all anymore... Because she wants me to do these leaf rubs all the live long day.

My first ever from scratch cake. Chamomile vanilla. Used the tea from three tea bags straight in the batter. It smells like heaven!!!

Well, the college kids that live above us brought us a squash and zucchini they weren't going to use. So, I made a sauce with them, tomato soup, a little leftover alfredo sauce, some pinto beans (as we don't have any meat currently) and spices. Hope it's good!

Call me crazy, but in the quiet of naptime, a sight like this makes me smile.  I love having little reminders all around the house of my little love bug.

Sorry I haven't posted much in the last few days. I came down with a cold, but I'm on the mend and feeling better.

I just made a paper rocket (via pinterest)! It's a glued and taped paper tube and a straw.  I can't wait for Little Miss to try this when she gets up from her nap!

My Dad caught a 10 ft., 154 lb. marlin on his Mexico fishing trip! Took him over an hour to reel it in!!!

There's something so peaceful and satisfying about making homemade bread on a quiet afternoon. Making bread never feels like work to me.

This ruched maternity shirt used to say 'my belly rocks'. I love how it looks on me so much (even not being pregnant) that I had to find a way to keep it.  Fabric paint + hobby word = most awesome shirt!

I made lemon bars at my Mom's yesterday while visiting. Didn't turn out quite how they were supposed to, but still really good.

I was working on my laptop on the couch. Little Miss climbed up, sat next to me to watch Goosebumps and rested her hand on my arm.  She just sat still like this, watching the TV. Awwwww!
