This is Halloween!

So, again, since I didn't blog last week, I have a lot of catching up to do. See my photos for even more about what's happened over the last week.

I got a new cookie scoop and hand mixer.

My New Cookie Scoop
I L.O.V.E. this thing!!!

And I've been baking up a storm.

I bought a Hairagami.

Hairagami Perfect Bun
I'm attempting to grow my hair out with minimal breakage. So, five days a week, I have my hair up. I bought a Hairagami to help me get creative with it... getting pretty good at it. This was a bedtime bun.

I donated some yarn and a knitting loom.

Student Projects
I donated some yarn and a loom to a grade school where a lady from my knitting group teaches. This is what the kids already have going.

Danika went Halloween shopping with Ashley and I, she was very excited.

I mailed a scarf to The Red Scarf Project.

The Red Scarf Project
This is the scarf made of squares done by members in my knitting group, Salt Lake City Stitchers. I did the joining and border. I should've taken a better picture.

Ryn's getting over 100% in Honors English!!! YIPEE!! Good job Ryn!

I haven't done much with knitting and crocheting, I been busy. Whew!

Well, it's time to get back to it... ♥

I'll leave you with this...

Mom's Spaghetti Salad & An Amazing Speed Painter

The lovely Jessica has requested that I post the recipe for my Mom's Spaghetti Salad, so here it is:

Spaghetti Salad

Spaghetti Salad

2 lbs spaghetti noodles
2-3 large bottles zesty italian dressing
4 green peppers
6-8 roma tomatoes
4 cucumbers
1 purple onion
1 can olives

Cook spaghetti as directed until just barely al dente.

Cut and chop veggies as noodles cook.

When noodles are just barely al dente, strain and run under cold water immediately.

Combine noodles and all veggies except onions (add these the morning it will be served, otherwise they will stain the noodles) and half of the dressing (add the other half the day of serving).

Mom says it's best to do half the dressing and let it sit overnight in the fridge, then add the rest in the morning. The al dente noodles will soak up the dressing and soften, so you will need to add more afterwards.

Mom and I serve the salad with parmasan cheese on the side (some don't like it with cheese).

Here's an amazing video of a fantastic speed painter, Jean Francois. I first saw him while surfing through channels and he was on some PBS station. Check out the rest of his videos too!

Flashback

Photo Album and Knit & Crochet Photos Updated!

MP3 Pouch
I wrote a pattern for an MP3 pouch and published it on Ravelry, it's the second one I've pulished there! The pattern can be found here.

Scrappy Tuesdays - Week 1
I've given up on my initial Scrappy Tuesdays pattern , which was knit, and started again with this one.

This is gonna be one ugly blanket, but I'm sure I'll love it!

Lavender Sachet
Ryn's Grandma sent her some lavender for her pillow. She wanted to know how long it would take to be able to smell the lavender through the plastic baggie... so I just made her a sachet out of fabric from and old tank top and some bulky yarn.

Park City 2008
Just got this picture that was taken during the Park City trip from a co-worker. So, Christy and I played around on the luggage cart. She ran up and down the hall, pushing me.

The Red Scarf Project
I sent my scarf off to The Red Scarf Project on Thursday. I'm also still collecting squares for scarves from the ladies in my knitting group as well. The deadline is coming up, the end of October.

Look what they're selling at Walmart!

Look what they're selling at Walmart!

Just one of those funny things to see items shockingly close to your own hobby being pumped out from machines to be massively sold at the most popular department store in America. Kinda makes me jealous that I can't do the same with my own hands.

That Baby
Danika is sitting up on her own now! She still needs supervision and a human safety net, but she totally supports herself!

A Bloggy Facelift

Photo Album and Knit & Crochet Photos updated!

My blog has a new look for fall! Cool, huh?

Coffee Kind of Thank You
My knitting group has to leave the regular coffeehouse because their hours have changed. Shirley, who works there has always been a great hostess and friend so I crocheted this coffee cup for her as a thank you.

Finger Sweater #2
I knit another finger sweater for a more classy project picture on Ravelry, but now realize it looks like a bandage! Oh well.

Week 5 for the Scrappy Tuesdays blanket. I'm seeing a growing trend of only one square a week, haha.

Pink & Red Star Blanket
Bye, bye blankie. =( Here's the pink & red star blankie getting ready to get into a gift bag. I hated to part with this one. But, seems Kari (a co-worker) enjoyed receiving it, so that makes me happy.

Pink & Red Star Blanket
We had a baby shower at the office for her on Thursday, which I made Mom's spaghetti pasta salad for. Everyone loved it.

Park City 2008
September 26-28 was the 2nd annual Park City weekend for all the ladies in my office, paid for by the company. Thanks again Steve!

These are the dorkiest (and most unflattering) pictures I may have ever taken in my life. Oh well, ya laughed, right?

My Dad just celebrated his 50th birthday! Dang, he looks good for 50, huh? Happy Birthday, Dad!

Jen made the cake to look like the Mahi-Mahi (Dorado) that Dad caught in Mexico.

He also got $50 in shiny, new pennies from Polly and Dave.

And of course, That Baby was there...

Dad's 50th Birthday
...with her crazy, sweaty, mohawky nap hair. She's six months old now, becoming a little chunker and rolling over! ...She's the most awesome little person I know.♥

As seen just above, Ryn taught me how to type hearts. Rad, huh?! Thanks Ryn! ♥

Oh yeah! And I made cookies today...

Chocolate Chip Cookies
I made these from a boxed muffin mix. I think we'll take them to the BBQ at Justin's tonight.

My Mom makes cookies from cake mixes, but I didn't have any cake mix, so I used muffin mix that we had instead, it worked great! Thanks Mom!
