Post number five today. Okay, I'm not as excited about how many posts I'm getting done today, but it's still really great.

Sorry, things happened. Anyway, here we go!


When we got back from our honeymoon our air conditioning was broken... on a holiday weekend. So, I whipped up some rice packs to put in the freezer and keep us cool.


I used to work on this one when I stayed at my parents’ Tuesday nights. Now I just work on it on Tuesdays... when I can.

I’m making it with frogged and abandoned project yarn and small leftovers not big enough to make anything with.

I tried my first marshmallow fondant on sugar cookies... everything homemade. I love marshmallow fondant... WAY better than uncooked fondant too, which cracked and was still sticky. This marshmallow fondant was easy to get silky and rolled out great! I've never tried cooked fondant. Don't think I want to either, sounds complicated and I don't have a candy thermometer.

So, I'd like to show you my new views, dig it--

I get to look at more treeliness while on the computer too! Ahhh, it's nice.


Here's our new washer and dryer! First set I've ever owned. Thank cod (no typo) for help for those bettering themselves (Stu's school refund).

This is done with something called a "rasterbator". Oooh, dirty sounding, huh? It's not. Google it for some serious picture blowing upedness. It's rad!


Chaos In Motion

That Baby (my niece) and her mama visited my knitting group a couple weeks ago.


We played blocks together.


Chonk! Chonk! Chonk! That Baby was snapping the ribbon from her soft book over her teeth while at my knit meeting.

My first attempt at sculpting marshmallow fondant on sugar cookies. They look nice, but it's SO time consuming! I gave up after three cookies. That's okay, they were just practice anyway.


Cleaning Up Shit Pays Off

So, I cleaned up the women's bathroom at work when the sewer drain backed up. Yes, that's right, poo... all over the floor. So, my boss took me to a lunch of my choosing. I chose sushi, of course.


Okay, so Stu and I are watching everything Star Trek, starting from the beginning with the original series. The animated series followed. LOVE the orginal series, but as fas as the animated series? I just gotta say, "Meh." I fell asleep more than once, okay. So, glad we're done with that.


Bruce and Marissa came over for dinner Saturday and we played Killer Bunnies with them. It was their first time playing, I think they liked it.


I made eclair cake for dessert and Stu made his fabulouso spaghetti.

Oh yeah, and...










I'M PREGNANT!!!

Five weeks! Found out Saturday. Golly, I needed to get that out. Why do you think I was going through all those catch up posts so quickly?!?!

Post number four today!!! Okay, this is the fastest I've ever posted in a single day! EVER!

Our first guest in the new place was my cousin, Peachy. She made cake pops with Ryn and I.

At the advice of Bakerella, we used clear plastic spoons to make curved embellishments for our cake pops.

Peachy did this coffee mug (complete with steam) on wax paper. It turned out so friggin' awesome! She gave it to my hubby cuz he loves coffee. Sweet, huh?


Peachy tried to fix a flower and ended up putting a blob of yellow on itstead... we called it the egg pop. What is it with her and eggs?!?!


All the pops I made.


Ryn asked Peachy if she could have her diagonal striped square after I said part of it looked like a hot dog. Ryn took off the extra stripes and made a hot dog pop. She even wrote "hot dog" on it.


Peachy made "quack" pops complete with a ducky pop!




We love cake pops at my house.


We bought a washer, dryer and Dyson vaccum with some refund money from school! I'm so excited!

Ryn now has an ami duck for her collection. I think I only have two left now.

Still working on the Slim Line Tunic sweater, which my mom now knows is for her. I keep screwing it up and have to keep ripping it back. It's frustrating.

The Wedding: Part Six - Starting A New Life

Okay, so now, we're staring a new life...

Of course we went out for sushi shortly after coming back from the honeymoon and look what I found in my miso soup...


There's a little heart shaped onion in my miso soup! Ryn said it was a sign that I was pregnant. I was not. But thanks for the thought Ryn!

Then we got a new place in the city. A two story townhouse apartment!


Here's our front door. Living room, kitchen and Ryn's room (behind the tree on the right) windows.


We have a garage! We'll use it for storage, instead of paying for public storage.


This is our rock. Stu named it Arnold. It's on the corner of the building.

The kitchen. Not enough light for my taste and even less counter space for baking and such. But, that's what lights and kitchen tables are for. I'll deal.

This shelf is in our walk in closet. Is it just me, or could you totally fit a baby there? I'm kidding, please refrain from begging me not to reproduce.


We're starting to pack. Okay, here we go!


Well, we're nearly all packed and the movers are coming soon.

Even though I'm really looking forward to moving back to the city, I will miss this apartment dearly. It's where Stu and I's relationship started and grew over the last couple years. Lots of memories. *sniff*


Stu and Ryn in our new place. I'm sitting on the stairs. We have stairs! ...And two floors! I love it so much.


I hung some prints in the kitchen/dining room. I plan to do the kitchen and dining room in dark brown and red with a coffeehouse theme. It's feeling more like home all the time.


Ah, Scentsy! I was so glad to get my Scentsy out. Our townhouse has that old house smell, it's weird. Oh! And there's my fishy, Picot!


Spock is home! ...But, I don't think he likes his new neighbor, Shine Bright Bear. See the unenthused look on Spock's face?
